Classic Bananas Foster with caramelized bananas in rum sauce. Elegant dessert that's surprisingly easy to make.

Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat.
Add brown sugar and cook 2-3 minutes until melted.
Stir in cream, cinnamon, and salt.
Add banana slices and cook 2-3 minutes.
Remove from heat, add rum and vanilla, return to heat briefly.
Serve immediately over vanilla ice cream.
Use bananas that are ripe but still firm so they hold their shape.
Serve over pound cake, waffles, or French toast instead of ice cream.
Best served immediately while warm. Sauce can be made ahead and reheated gently.
