Creamed Spinach

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Fresh spinachchopped
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 4 oz Cream cheesecubed
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 small Oniondiced
  • 3 cloves Garlicminced
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheesegrated
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions

    Sauté spinach in batches until wilted. Drain excess water.

    Melt butter in large skillet. Sauté onion until soft.

    Add garlic and cook 1 minute.

    Add heavy cream and bring to gentle simmer.

    Stir in cream cheese until melted and smooth.

    Add cooked spinach and Parmesan cheese.

    Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
